Rainy Monday. Santa fuel came before we left for school-radiator is hot and we don't know why. Drove A to school. Shower. Some errands. Z had a good nap. Having Giada's Veggie loaf for dinner. Yummy. Then cultural diversity meeting tonight. Some pics of the kids coloring. I hate what the flash does so I tried some without. Even when they are still, they are moving.

a much better day today. a was off from school because of the elections. we made plans to go to the mall and meet some friends. beforehand we met them at the polls and each watched the other's kids while one went in and voted. had a good time at the mall buying boots for a and the new "cars" dvd for z. we got some ice cream and then sophia, christina and catherine came over for lunch. the kids ran and screamed and had fun and sophia and i caught up after a very long time since our last visit. i feel like a human being again, not some version of a fisher price toy. whew.

Party Time

A and Z dressed up to go to Babu's house and celebrate the end of Ramazan.

For Halloween the school asked the 1st graders to dress up as a character from children's literature. A chose Junie B. Jones.

A as a diva for a neighborhood Halloween party. She was so excited to get to wear my big hoop earrings.

A and her friend at the Father's Club Halloween Party at her school. The kids had a great time, especially in the "haunted hallway". A hid behind lockers with her friend Mikey and jumped out at people. She thought it was hysterical.

There was an open house at the Trumbull Fire Station. They had one of the fire hoses hooked up and you could open the valve and spray a kids playhouse. Z and A thought it was cool.

(Right)A and dad caught on film just before they are taken out to dinner for their birthday's. Z and I stayed home because Z had a cold. They brought back food for me, though, and we had cake and presents at home with Hala and Babu. It was a good time.

(Left) The family out for a day of pumpkin picking. It was so hot. Not like fall at all. We brought pita pizza's and then played in the hay maze.

Today we had to call the school for the second time because A is afraid to take the bus. She asked me if I could pick her up and I said no because I would have to wake up Z. I told her to bring a book and that she should read so the ride is easier. She said the bus driver once said "This is not a library". J**** H. C*****!
